Steve, I believe both are possible, just as we can love the U.S. and loathe its leaders. But I fear that antisemites don’t make that calculation. For them, Israeli policy is just an excuse for hate and being pro-Palestinian is a way to erase Zionism.
You both echo my sentiments. It's a shame that some aspects of Israeli policy by the current government are giving a voice to antisemites and nudging those susceptible on both extremes of our divide here in the US to those inclinations in that direction.
